PhpPgAdmin is among the most popular instruments for controlling PostgreSQL databases. It's intuitive, at the same time powerful and you can perform any action you'd like - export, import and / or update each cell, row or table within a database; grant, revoke or modify the permissions of a certain user; execute SQL queries and many more. When you wish to have a backup copy of a PostgreSQL-driven website, for instance, or transfer it to some other website hosting supplier, you'll be able to export your entire database in a format of your liking - SQL, CSV, XML, XHTML and many others. Using phpPgAdmin, you'll have full control over your databases and everything linked to them. The tool was originally intended as the PostgreSQL alternative of phpMyAdmin, however nowadays they have little in common when it comes to the interface.
phpPgAdmin in Hosting
We offer phpPgAdmin with all of our hosting plans and you'll be able to access it from the PostgreSQL section of your Hepsia Control Panel provided that you have created at least a single database. You'll see all your databases indexed in alphabetical order in this particular area and on their right-hand side there is a compact phpPgAdmin button. Once you click on the button for a selected database, you'll be logged in automatically in a new tab of the web browser. If you prefer to log in manually, you'll be able to go to our direct phpPgAdmin login page and submit the database username and password. This option can also be used in case some other person, such as a web designer, has to access a database inside your account. In this way, your files and e-mail messages will be protected since nobody can access them.
phpPgAdmin in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can access and use phpPgAdmin so as to manage any database with just a couple of clicks if you host your sites in a semi-dedicated server plan from us. When you go to the PostgreSQL part of our in-house made Hepsia Control Panel, you'll discover a small phpPgAdmin button next to each database that you've set up. Any time you click on this button for a selected database, you'll be signed in automatically, so you will not need to type in any other login credentials. Since you could employ the services of a graphic designer, however, we have also included a possibility to get into phpPgAdmin manually via a direct login page in which the database username and password needs to be entered. This way, the designer will be unable to access your files or see your personal contact information.
